'Plan of the estate of Whitehall in the Parish of Chirnside Berwickshire' As surveyed by J Blackadder 1821. Lithographed by Forrester and Nichol (1838).
[1:7900] 1 in = 10 Imperial chains. 695 x 533 mm, on sheet 738 x 552 mm. Coloured. Lithograph. Linen backing.
Estate plan coloured to show boundaries of farms including Nether Mains, Crow Butt, Harelaw, Housestead, Bullerhead, Oldcastles, Pefferlaw, Wheatacres and Causewaybank. Field boundaries, steadings, plantations, Chirnside (water) Mill, Chirnside village with houses numbered to correspond with table of occupants' names and roads noted. Table of contents giving acreages of farms and land use - arable, pasture, wood, roads, etc. Names of adjacent lands. [RHP3713/1, 3713/2 & 3713/3 are all copies of the same plan]. |
