Description |
Plan of the farms of Linton and Fantassie. [By John Ainslie.] [1:2250] 1 inch = 2 ½ Scottish chains. 1000 x 1390 mm. Ink and colourwash. Dissected into two sheets. Compass rose. Detailed plan of Phantassie showing steading, stackyard with stacks in elevation, fields with field-names and acreages. Detailed plan of East Linton village. Waulkmill, Houston (water) Mill, limestone quarry, old course of River Tyne and The Cross Keys noted. Houses in East Linton numbered to correspond with feuars' names given in table of contents. Names of adjacent lands and proprietors including Lord Hailes, Lady Hamilton, Sir David Kinloch, Earl of Haddington, Mr Knox and Mr Baird. Relief by grey brush wash. Decorated cartouche. |
