Description |
'Reduced Plan of Castlesemple.' By T Richardson, surveyor, Glasgow; engravers: Kirkwood & Sons.
[1:8000] 1 in = 9 [Scottish] chains. 735 x 1030 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing.
Estate plan showing Castle Semple, policies and farms, including Cruiks, North and South Mitchelton, Greenside, Marshall Moor, Littletown, Crossflat, Howwood, East and West Gavin, Elliotston and Lochwinnoch Parks. Land use indicated - arable, pasture, wood and water - with acreages given in table of contents. Inset plans of four detached farms. Lochwinnoch with new church, Burgher meeting house, watermills and line of proposed canal noted. This plan is accompanied by a 'State of the measurement and estimate of the rent of the Estate of Castlesemple...advertised for sale, within the Royal Exchange Coffeehouse, Edinburgh, on Tuesday, the thirteenth day of December, 1808, at 12 o'Clock Noon' giving detailed information at field level - RHP3609A. |
