Description |
'Plan of Allanton, the property of Henry Stewart, Esq'. Unattributed. [1:3600] 1 in = 4 Scottish chains. 692 x 1614 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Apparently 19th century copy of earlier plan showing estate of Allanton. Coloured to show farm boundaries including Dyke, Eastermyre, Mooryett, Westermyre, East and West Hungryhill, Calkers, Cathburn, Sharnottshield, Morningside, Croftfoot and Torbush. Acreages of fields and some field-names given. Old and new roads, and flax and old (water) mills noted. Names of adjacent lands. |
