Description |
'Plan of part of the Estate of Hawkhead reduced from sundry detached plans laid down from accurate surveys, executed by myself and others at various periods'. By David Smith, Glasgow.
[1:3600] 1 in = 4 Scottish chains 114 x 78 cm
Plan of lands north of Levern Water between Dovehill and Pollock showing farms including Crookston, kaimsthorn, Roughmussle, Oldbar, Rais, Crosshill, Bridgebar, Blackbyres, Townhead and Rawfless. Numerous coal pits named. Alum, copperas and printing works, J Dunlop and Sons' weaving and spinning mill, lime pit and kiln, derelict ground and landowners named. Endorsed 'June 1835. This is the Plan referred to in the Lease of Hawkhead or Hurlet Coal and Ironstone between the Earl of Glasgow and Messrs Wilson and Sons. |
