Description |
'Plan of the lands of Findon lying in the Parish of Ross and Cromarty and County of Ross. The property of Sir James W Mackenzie of Scatwell, Baronet'. Surveyed in 1833-4 and now let as arranged and laid off in 1836 by G Campbell Smith, Banff.
[1:4000] 1 inch = 5 imperial chains. 1804 x 1542 mm. Hand coloured. Lithograph. Linen backing.
Detailed estate plan coloured to show farms including Urquhart, Balloan, Coulnagour, Badenerib, Tore, Shoretown (Balligladdich), Balmeanach, planned village of Culbokie, Glascairn, Knockgate, Greenleonachs, Moss of Findon, Braefindon, Millbuie Crofts, Molton, badrain, Muckle Findon, Broomtown, Shoretown, Bog of Findon, Braefindon, Millbuie Crofts, Milton, Badrain, Muckle Findon, Broomtown, Shoretown, Bog of Findon and Crask in Urquhart and Logoe Wester parish; and Badgrinann and Culbo in Resolis parish. Acreages of fields given. Outlines of new roads and enclosures. Plantations, steadings, loans and pier noted. Relief by pale grey brush wash. Names of adjacent lands. |
