'No 10. Plan of the coal and ironstone fields near Dalry, Ayrshire'. Drawn by 'J R'. [1:1600] 1 inch = 2 Imperial chains. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Edge bound in silk. Plan of mineral field coloured to show lots leased to Mr Macdonald and Mr Craig. Mains of Pitcon, Burnside, Middleton Farm, Burn Farm, Newside Farm, part of Hingdog farm, Pitcon Burn, Rye Water, location of supposed crop of blackband ironstone, and roads to Largs and Kilbirnie noted. Compass rose. Note: 'Edinburgh, 4th July 1840. This is the plan of the mineral field held in lease for the joint behoof of Mr John Macdonald, junior, writer in Glasgow, and Mr Andrew Craig, Esquire, there, which is referred to in my decreet arbitral whichn is signed by me of this date as relative hereto.
