Description |
'Auchnacary' By William [Morison], surveyor. [1:17760] 1 inch = 20 Scots chains. 316 x 457 mm on sheet 337 x 467 mm. Ink and colour wash. Relief in grey wash. Plan of Auchnacary (Achnacarry or Achadh na Cairidh), parish of Kilmallie, Inverness-shire, showing the feal dyke along the burn Altcoileros (Allt Coire Choille-rais) extending from the boundary with Loch Arkaig (Loch Airceig) and Kileros (Coille-ras) downhill past arable land at Loch Lochy. Noted are woodland, public house, saw mill, burying place, march burn with Clunes (Na Cluainean) and Auchnasaul (Achnasaul or Achadh na Sabhal). A table for 'Expence of inclosing' is given which notes '40 roods [stone dyke] to secure passes on King.' |
