Description |
'Achindrein' By [William Morison], surveyor. [1:10656] 1 inch = 12 Scots chains. 313 x 453 mm on sheet 340 x 467 mm. Ink and colour wash. Relief in grey wash. Plan of 'Achindrein' (Achendrean), Ross and Cromarty, showing proposed dyke to be faced with stone from fields to river and its length; a canal 'to prevent the river from undermining the houses near the river'; and a feal dyke and its length on the water of Runie. Noted are rough and cultivated terrain and Pollychore (Pollachoire), Strakenort (Strathcanaird), Gluach and Achmilmorrie. A table for 'Expence of inclosing' is given, which includes expenditure for 'stone for a garden wall'. |
