Description |
'Achglyne' By [William Morison], surveyor. [1: 13392] 1 inch = 15 Scots chains. 316 x 456 mm on sheet 340 x 464 mm. Ink and colour wash. Relief in hachures. Plan of Achglyne (Acha-A-Ghlinne or Achadh a' Ghlinne), Inverness-shire showing proposed feal (turf) dyke between steep ground on Ben Eden (Ben Aden or Beinn an Aodainn) and Sorious or Carnoch; an enclosure for wintering; and a march between Scournakiach (Sgurr na Ciche) and lands of Lochiel. Noted are 'Shealings (sheilings) belonging to different proprietors' on the boundary with a 'dangerous precipice' on Ben Eden. A table for 'Expence of inclosing' is given. |
