'Plan of the Eatate of Castlestewart consisting of the Lordship of Petty and Lands of Connage, the property of the Right Hon James, Earl of Moray'. By Tho Winter [1:6300] 1 in = 7 Scottish chains 1420 x 720mm (in 10 sheets, approximately 460 x 330mm each) Detailed estate plan showing Castle Stewart and townships extending from Newton to parish boundary at Stuarton and inland to parish boundary. Fields shown with direction of rigs, field-names, acreage and quality of ground. Land use indicated - arable, pasture, moss and moor. Steadings, fishertowns, cot houses, watermills, sea mill, standing stones, glebe, common shorelands and road to Fort George noted. Multiple scale. Decorated with sailing vessels. [Photocopy.] |
