'Plan of the coal field of Killochan, about to be let by Sir John Andrew Cathcart of Carleton Bart to Messrs Dodds, Kinloch and Neilson'. By Andrew Lauglen.
2005 x 1593 mm, on sheet 2075 x 1645 mm. Ink and colour wash. Original linen backing. Wooden batons.
General plan of Killochan, Cairnhill and Hawkhill marked to show extent of coalfield. Areas coloured in accordance with conditions of lease. Killochan Castle and gardens, Cairnhill Steading and Hawkhill Steading, roads and bridges, River Girvan noted. Some adjacent lands named. Table of contents giving acreages. Note: 'Girvan, 1st May 1839. This is the plan of the coalfield referred to in the lease thereof subscribed by us on this date as relative thereto.'
