Description |
'Plan of the Estates of Firth and old Woodhouselee. Reduced from plans by Robert Maxton, 1826; David Wilson, 1837; and Archibald Sutter, 1861, with corrections to 1864'. Lithographed by Mould and Tod, Edinburgh. [1:7100] 1 in = 9 Imperial chains 48 x 70 cm Estate plan coloured to show farms including Firth Mains, Lower Firth and Old Woodhouselee. Ruins of castle and Peebles Railway noted. Adjacent lands and proprietors named including Sir George Clerk of penicuik, Sir Norman Macdonald Lockhart of lee, Wardlaw Ramsay of Whitehall and John Inglis of Redhall. Also undated architectural plan and elevations of Firth farm house and offices - RHP3082/1-3. |
