'Plan of the Island of Benbecula, the property of Ranald George McDonald Esq of Clanranald'. [By William Bald]
[1:6030] 1 inch = 6.75 [Scottish] chains. 2339 x 2191 mm. Ink and colour wash. Dissected into 6 sheets (each 780 x 1095 mm approx.). Linen backing.
Plan of Benbecula coloured to show boundaries of townships including Gramisdale, Riavagh, Crochpellar, hannaglate, Drimileeah, Dungainachy, Bailivanish, Hey, Aird beg, Aird More, Nunton, Greinish, Ken Uachkir, Gearry Beg,Torlum and Liniclett. Land use indicated - arable and pasture. Individual buildings, chapel in ruins and roads noted. Many natural features named. Table of contents. Relief by grey brush hachures.
