[1:2400] 1 inch = 200 feet and [1:360] 1 inch = 30 feet. 441 x 1954 mm. Ink. Annotated in graphite. Tracing linen.
Sections of the North British Railway from Hardengreen Junction to beyond Cowdenfoot. Gradient profile between peg 6 and peg 48. Location of pegs and bridges marked. Sections of turnpike road diversion near peg 21, road diversion near peg 26, walls between pegs 35 and 53 and road diversion near peg 40. Note: 'This is Plan No 2 of the 'Dalkeith Contract' containing the general section referred to in the contract between the North British Railway Company and Messrs Rosser & Smith, contractors, North Shields, and cautioners, for the execution inter alia of the works in the 'Dalkeith Contract' on the Monktonhall, Ormiston and Dalkeith Branches, and is signed relative to said contract and of even dates therewith.'
