[1:2400] 1 inch = 200 feet. 440 x 2090 mm. Ink. Annotated in graphite. Tracing linen.
Plan of the North British Railway from Hardengreen Junction to beyond Cowdenfoot showing ground to be acquired from Duke of Buccleuch. Cowdenfoot, Hardengreen Junction and brick and tile works noted. Location of pegs and bridges marked. Table of contents giving acreages. Note: 'This is Plan No 1 of the 'Dalkeith Contract' containing the general plan referred to in the contract between the North British Railway Company and Messrs Rosser & Smith, contractors, North Shields, and cautioners, for the execution inter alia of the works in the 'Dalkeith Contract' on the Monktonhall, Ormiston and Dalkeith Branches, and is signed relative to said contract and of even dates therewith.'
