Map of the River Clyde as in 1839, with the water lines thereof as in 1800. Surveyed by Thomas Kyle. Designed by James Walker, C.E. Lithographed by Maclure and Macdonald, 57 Buchanan Street, Glasgow. [1:4800] 1 in = 400 ft 95 x 64 cm Plan of River Clyde from Glasgow Bridge to Port Glasgow coloured to show extent of river in 1800. proposed lines of improvement and the extent of surface embraced in the Clyde Navigation Bill of 1840. Large amount of detail given for areas adjacent to river with all plots and buildings numbered. Parts of the parishes of Renfrew, Inchinnan, Erskine, Kilmacolm and Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire, and Old Kilpatrick, Dumbarton and Cardross, Dunbartonshire, included. Ten sections bound together.
