Description |
No title. By William Kyle. Scale [1:2700] 1 inch = 3 Scottish chains. 238 x 2175 mm on sheet 284 x 2218 mm. Plan of River Clyde from Broomielaw to Whiteinch coloured to show new line of banks for canalisation of river. Details of frontages from New Bridge to Whiteinch, giving names of estates and proprietors. Fishing draughts, basic for fitting out steamboats, slip for repairing vessels, ferry quay and coal wharf noted. Note: 'Glasgow 29 August 1810. The pencil-lines drawn on the original plan by John Rennie, Esquire, to exhibit his design for farther contraction of the River, and improvement of the Navigation, as explained in his Report, dated London, December 24th, 1807, are expressed on this working plan ?
