'North British Railway. Drawings of Workmen's Houses at Fort William'. By James Carswell, architect. [1:96] 1 inch = 8 feet. 680 x 416 mm. Ink and colour wash. Colour on reverse. Tracing linen. Architectural plans, elevations and sections of railway workmen's houses at Fort William, showing their location adjacent to Belford Hospital and drainage to River Nevis; layout of each house noting room functions; front and end elevations noting detail of roof, windows and doors and sections through the house showing room, roof and window heights. Dimensions of stone and wood work noted. Plan stamped: 'North British Railway Engineer's Office. No. 2810. 3 Jan 1896. Western Division, Glasgow.' |
