Description |
Two sketch plans of Summer Bank, parish of Wick, with remarks on the division of the land into lots, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each proposal to the tenants of Nibster and John Mowat.
1. 'Sketch of Summer Bank' By William Campbell, surveyor. [1:1800] 1 inch = 2 [Scots] chains. 184 x 225 mm. Ink and colour wash. Compass rose. Watermark: crown, horn and '1813'. Sketch plan showing the land of Summer Bank divided into four plots two on either side of the road leading from the 'Salt Celler' (sic) to the hill, and the acreage of each plot. Noted are the high water mark and 'new possessions' to the west of the plots.
2. 'Sketch of Summer Bank' By William Campbell, surveyor. No scale. 183 x 225 mm. Ink and colour wash. Compass rose. Watermark: crown, horn and '1813'. Sketch plan showing the land of Summer Bank divided into six plots, three on either side of the road leading from the 'Salt Celler' (sic) to the hill, and the acreage of each plot. Noted are the dyke of Summer Bank Park dividing the plotts and road from 'new possessions' and the line of division with John Mowat's park of Park. |
