'To General The Most Noble the Marquis of Huntly, Baron Cordon, G.C.B &c &c and Lord Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire This Topographical and Military Map of the Counties of Aberdeen, Banff, and Kincardine; with Parts of those of Forfar, Perth, Inverness, and Moray; exhibiting a true Picture thereof constructed and delineated from actual surveys on Trigonomical, perspective and optical principles (being the second of this kind yet published, my Map of Jamaica having been the first) Is Most respectfully inscribed By His Lordship's Most obliged and most faithful humble servant James Robertson, A.M. F.R.S'. Surveyed, engraved and published by James Robertson, surveyor.
