Mining plan showing barriers of coal left to dam back water from old workings. Pits named include Fire Engine, Bye, Horse, Jacob's, Hunter's, Thompson's, Intended Engine and Back bank. Levees, coal seams and outcrops shown. Farms, crofts, mill lead and field boundaries noted. Compass rose. |
