Description |
'Plan of the estate of Newhailes belonging to Sir Charles Ferguson [Fergusson], baronet. Reduced from an old plan and corrected from a survey [by] George Buchanan, civil engineer, Edinburgh'. [1:2700] 1 in = 3 Scottish chains 770 x 580 mm Estate plan showing mansion house and policies with names of parks and acreages. Coal work with mouth of tunnel and colliery sidings, Fisherrow Branch of Edinburgh and Dalkeith Railway, railway depot at Fisherrow harbour and saltpans with girnel and siding noted. Table of contents. Coloured. Names of adjacent lands and proprietors including Marquis of Abercorn, Earl of Wemyss and Andrew Wauchope of Edmontstone. |
