Plan of the Estate of Newliston belonging to James M Hog, Esq. By Thomas Carfrae, surveyor, Edinburgh. [1:2400] 1 inch = 3 Imperial chains. 1520 x 930 mm. Ink and colourwash. Linen backing. Dissected into 2 sheets. Compass rose. Estate plan coloured to show Newliston House, policies and farms of Gateside, Milrig and Haugh. Fields numbered to correspond with acreages and land use given in table of contents. Gardens, farm steadings, Priest's Mill with damhead and lead, part of Kirkliston village, toll and Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway noted. Names of adjacent proprietors - Earl of Hopetoun and Earl of Buchan. |
