Canal plan coloured to show proposed lines from Paisley to Ardrossan. Proprietors' lands numbered, reservoirs, locks and branches noted. Many annotations relating to coal and lime reserves as potential cargoes on canal. Stevenston to Saltcoats canal with branches and many coal pits noted. The canal passes through the parishes of Ardrossan, Stevenston, Kilwinning and Beith in Ayrshire; Lochwinnoch and Paisley in Renfrewshire. |
