Description |
'Plan of that part of the Town of Saltcoats and adjoining lands of Town-head, the property of Lord Montgomerie, also a delineation of the harbour exhibiting the old piers and the additions lately made thereto by Mr Cunningham and part of his lands and sands as bounded by the Rocky ground and the Sea'. By P Fleming, Glasgow [1:1800] 1 in = 2 Scottish chains 1160 x 580 mm Plan of Saltcoats and adjacent areas with boundaries of various proprietors' lands coloured including Earl of Eglinton, Lord Montgomerie and R R Cunningham. Saltpans, old saltpans, salt girnal, disused windmill, harbour with new section built by R R Cunningham, coal pits, sites of former pits, Stevenston to Saltcoats Canal, Relief Church and manse, sea-wall built to protect Mr Cunningham's proposed railroad, Ardrossan parish church, Townhead steading and Canal bank house noted.
