Description |
Two copy plans of Blackstone moss joined on one sheet and edgebound. 1.'Plan of Buckston Moss'. Copied by Robert Climie, civil engineer, Glasgow. [1:3840] 1 inch = 4.3 [Scots] chains. 604 x 885 mm on sheet 938 x 1261 mm. Ink and colour wash. Compass rose. Linen backing. Estate plan showing the marches between the properties of Mr Cunningham, Mr Cochran, Mr Speir and Mr Napier. Noted are roads and external boundaries. Note states that the plan was copied from a plan in the possession of Archibald Alexander Speirs Esq of Elderslie. Plan signed and witnessed as part of decreet arbitral. 2. 'Copy plan of Blackstone Moss made by William Kyle 1817.' Copied by Robert Climie, civil engineer, Glasgow. [1:3840] 1 inch = 4.3 [Scots] chains. 938 x 613 mm on sheet 938 x 1261 mm. Ink and colour wash. Compass rose. Linen backing. Estate plan showing division of land, ownership, acreage and boundaries of Blackstone Moss as marked out in April 1811. Owners marked are Alexander Speirs of Elderslie, William Napier of Blackstone and John Cunninghame of Craigends. Note states that plan was copied and verified as an accurate copy of the original held by Archibald Alexander Speirs of Elderslie. |
