Steadings, acreages of fields, plantations, Penicuik House and policies, ruins of Brunstane Castle, Mauricewood coal pit, Penicuik and Kirkhill villages, Valleyfield, Esk, Low and Bank mills, railway station, cricket ground, glebe and burgh boundary noted.
