Plan of the city of Paris with districts and streets named. Buldings shown in block plan with larger buildings named such as - the observatory, hospitals and the chateau de Louvre. Surroundindg lands named with fields marked. Compass rose surrounded by four figures [representing the seasons]. Grid on the plan. Inset section giving list of expanded districts surrounded by pictorial elevations of the Sorbone, Notre Dame, the Palais Royal, the Palais d'Orleans dit Luxembourg, the Val de Grace and the College Mazarin dit das Quatre Nations, in individual cartouches. Inset sectionwith banner in front of an obelisk noting the plan of dedicated and presented to Monseigneur la Dauphin. Surrounding the banner are individual cartouches showing pictorial elevatins of the Palais Royale, the Grand frontage of the Louvre, the Place das Victorias, the Arc de Triomphe, The Tuillerias du Cote de Jardin and the Veue des Invalides. Classical figures, a French figure and acanthus leaves surround the cartouches. Another separate inset section showing 'Plan des Cazernes ou Hotel des Gardes Construites sous le Regr de Louis le Grandlan 1962'. This plan is surrounded by pictorial elevations of the Port St Antoine, the Porte St Bernard, the Observatory, the Maison ou Hotel Du Ville, the Porte St Martin and the Porte St Denis. The elevations and plan surrounded by a French figure sitting on a drum holding a gun and a French figure looking through a telescope with acanthus leaves. Down both sides of the plan is an alphabetical list of street names and their position on the plan grid. There is a small descriptin of Paris under this table.
