'A Plan of the Academy at Norland, near Kensington Grand Pits, Two Miles from London on the Oxford Road'. By Thomas Marquois, Professor of Artillery and Fortification. Engraved by H. Roberts. No scale. 563 x 374 mm. Engraving. Linen backing. Plan of Norlands Academy showing land and buildings. Parts marked with letters and explained in references. Note 1: The Greel and Latin Classics, French, Writing, Arithmatic and Board, Thirty Guineas a Year & five Guineas Entrance. Fortification, Mathematics, Navigation, Drawing, Geography, Dancing and Fencing, each half a Guinea p month and a guinea Entrance. Riding Two Guineas p month and two Guineas Entrance. NB Pupils are admitted at any age under Fifteen'. Note 2: 'Those who become pupils under Ten Years of Age may be completed by the time they are Sixteen, in Civil or Military Education, with every Accomplishment requisite to adorn a Gentleman, for sixty Guineas a year and ten guineas entrance'. |
