'Plan of the Lordship of Auchindown lying in the parish of Mortlach and County of Banff, the property of His grace the Duke of Richmond'. By George McWilliam. [1:11,900] 1 in = 15 Imperial chains. 1002 x 692 mm. Hand coloured. Lithograph. Linen backing. Estate plan coloured to show farms of Corsemaul, Rebreck, Raehutcheon, Newley, Alnaboyle, Bakebare, Clunybeg, Boghead, Coldhome, Earnfold, Mains of Clunymore, Tullochallum, Keithmore, Tomnon, Pitglassie, Auchanhandock, Upper Keithack, Parkhead, Enoch, Laggan, Tamballies and Smithstown. Auchindown castle, church and manse, schoolhouse, slate quarry, distillery, smithy, lime kiln and mill of Pittyvaich noted. Table of contents giving acreages of farms. Names of adjacent lands. Relief by fine hachures. Part of plan was taken from a plan by Thomas Milne dated 1773. Another plan, undated, of same lands, but in more detail (scale 1 in = 5 Imperial chains) - RHP1830 |
