Description |
No title. By George McWilliam. [1:3150] 1 in = 3.5 Scottish chains. Each sheet 738 x 870 mm, total size 4340 x 1420 mm. Ink and colour wash. Dissected into 10 sheets. Linen backing. Plan of lands adjacent to Burn Treble and Black Water from Glacks of Balloch to Round Hill. Infield-outfield lands, with field-names and acreages, of townships of Broomknowes, Badchear, Todholes, Burntreble, Tomnvoan, Shenvalv and Horse Ward shown. Blachwater Lodge, plantations and roads noted. Relief by grey wash. Names of adjacent lands and proprietors including Earl of Fife and Colonel Stewart. Note: 'The parties having agreed that the ground lying between the Gipsies and Blind Strypes, marked as disputed should be equally divided. I have this day in presence of James Stewart, Esq, of Lesmurdie, and his agent Mr Alexander Gordon, and James Skinner, Esq, factor for the Trustees of the late Alexander, Duke of Gordon, and Alexander Brown, writer in Elgin, their agent, laid off the share of the contraverted ground in equal halves agreeable to the line coloured in blue which I have drawn, and along which marches stones were placed at the sight of the parties.
