'Reduced plan of the Estate of North berwick, belonging to Sir Hew Dalrymple Hamilton, Bart'. By William Forrest. [1:5400] 1 in = 6 Scottish chains 1330 x 1010 mm. Estate plan coloured to show farms including Abbey farm, Mains, Law Side, Bonnington, Mickle Wamphry, Blackdykes, Gleghornie, Halfland, barns and Castletown. Land use indicated - policy, arable, pasture, plantation and links. Fields numbered to correspond with field-names, acreages and land use given in table of contents. Berwick House, town of North Berwick with harbour, houses, yards, church, Royalty, West gate and Wall tower, Links Mill, lime quarry and kilns, gravel pits, pigeon cott, signal station on North Berwick Law, vaults, cottages, Leuchrie House, Canty bay, rabbit warrens, stack yards with haystacks in elevation, well and washing house nited. Elevation of Bass Rock. Names of adjacent lands and proprietors including Sir James Sutty, William H Nisbet and Colt of Seacliff. |
