Description |
'Plan of the estate of Tomrawer, the property of Carron Company and of that part of the lands of Banton where the Iron Stone workings are. Lying in the Parish of Kilfyth and County of Stirling [sic]'. By John Lauder. [1:1800] 1 in = 2 [Scottish] chains. 1445 x 935 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Mining plan coloured to show underground (stoop and room) workings. Old and New Engine Pits, levels, engines, colliers' houses, coal faces and pits noted. Auchinmulie, Glenhead, Boon the Mire, Old Hall and Tramsawer farm steadings, field-names. Sickle (water) Mill and 'William Graham's cairn, who was killed here at the Battle of Kilsyth' noted. Names of adjacent lands. |
