Plan shewing the Extent of the Coal workings of Carron Company in the Estates of Quarrole and Kinnaird from the commencement of the Coal Lease to the surrendery thereof. [By James Lander]
[1:1800] 1 in = 150 ft 1902 x 1445 mm. Linen backing. Ink and colourwash. In 4 slices.
Plan of the underground workings, including stoop and room, wallfaces and levels of Quarrole Engine, Wester, Skaithmuir, Adam's, Polloh's, Dam, Mill, Carron, Lady Janet, Crank Grim, Tinkertoun, Quarry, Cuttyfield, Proof, Doggar, Flemings and Kinnaird Pits. Houses in elevation including Kinnaird, Carron Hall and Carron House. Sections showing levels, coal seams and small drawing of pit engines. Illustrated key. Note 'Carron the 11th January 1789. This plan so far as relative to the Coalworkings of Kinnaird is copied from the annual plans made by Carron Company's surveyors viz Alex Shepherd and James Landers down to Martinmas last which copy and surveys made by me are hereby attested to be just and right account of the same [damaged].
