Description |
Plan of that part of Parkhall Estate connected with the coal workings and also of Moss-Candle, the property of [damaged]. By Robert Maxton [1:1800] 1 in = 2 Scottish chains 203 x 120 cm Plan of the lands of Snabhead, Glenend, Glenhead, Croy and Burnfoot showing the underground workings of No 1 (Engine), 2 (Bye), 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 (Stair), 12, 13 (Burn), 14 (North Hirst), 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 (South Hirst), 20 (Glenend) and 22 Pits. Moss Candle Common, drove road, and lime kiln noted. Wall faces from May 1823 to June 1830 given. Coloured. Note 'The present wall-faces by John Geddes assistant to Mr Bald. The old workings copied from Mr Lauder's plan.' |
