Description |
'Plan of the estate of Abbotshaugh and other lands in the county of Stirling'. By William Crawford, Junior, land surveyor, Edinburgh. [1:2700] 1 in = 3 Scottish chains. 1130 x 825 mm. Drawn in ink, colour wash. Linen backing. Decorative title with pictorial view of mansion house and policies with three men fishing from a rowing boat. Estate plan coloured to show the farms of Mains of Abbotshaugh, langlees, Carronside, Easter mungal, Coblebrae, Dalderse Mill, Yonderhaugh, Back raw and Gairdoch. Land use indicated - arable, pasture, gardens and plantations. Steadings, field boundaries with field-names and acreages, glebe, part of Carronshore village, ferry and Forth and Clyde canal noted. Names of adjacent lands and owners including Carron Company. Tables of contents giving acreages of farms. Note 'Edinburgh 13th November 1829.
