'Plan of Burghage lands in and about Fortrose, the property of the late Sir Alexander Grant of Dalvey, Bart made out from an accurate survey by David Aitken'. By David Aitken. Original done in 1788, this is a 19th century lithographed copy signed by D.F. Gordon. [1:3200] 1 in = 4 Imperial chains. 732 x 515 mm, on sheet 753 x 543 mm. Hand coloured. Lithograph. Linen backing. Plan of runrig lands between Fortrose and Rosemarkie with names of rigs and acreages. Land use indicated - arable,pasture, moor and commonty. Buildings in Fortrose and Rosemarkie shown in outline with churches in perspective. Minister's manse, kilns, mill, North Pilks Croft and Ferreyers' houses noted. Table of contents giving farm names with numbers of rigs shown on plan and acreages of arable, pasture and moor. |
