Copied by P MacBey, surveyor, Elgin, from a plan by Wm R Sutherland, dated 1842. [1:12,700] 1 inch = 16 [Imperial] chains. 886 x 570 mm. Ink and colourwash. Annotated in ink. Linen backing. Compass rose. Estate plan with boundaries of lots to be sold coloured. Hammerbrake, Beafield, Garamount house, Skaill, Measer, Bressigarth, Canker, Leavisgarth, Colligarth, North-hill, Cleat, Newark, Garbo, Hillhead and Rusness farms, church, manse, glebe, commonty, Gallow Hill cairn, Free Church and school noted. Inset plan of the park of Hettle. Table of contents unfinished. Names of adjacent lands and owners. |
