Description |
'Edinr. & Northern Railway. Plan of the ground to be taken off the property of the Earl of Leven & Melville for this Railway. 1846.' Unattributed. Scales (horizontal) 5 inches = 1000 feet and (vertical) 3 1/4 inches = 100 feet. 542 x 420 mm.Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Estate plan and section coloured to show land required by railway company. Table of contents giving acreages of plantation and private road. Note 1: 'Edinburgh 7th December 1847. This is the Plan referred to in the Nomination of a Valuator of this date by the Edinburgh and Northern Railway Company to value the portion of ground within delineated, being part of the Lordship & Barony of Monimail and others, and the same is now subscribed as relative thereto (signed) G Wauchope, witness, John Steele, witness.' Note 2: 'This is the Plan referred to in the Nomination of a Valuator of this date by me to value the portion of ground within delinated, being part of the Lordship and Barony of Monimail and others, and the same is now subscribed by me as relative thereto (signed) Leven & Melville.
