No title. Unattributed. Scale [1:120] 1 inch = 10 feet. 612 x 870 mm. Ink and colour wash. Plan of the 'Behind the Row' Road siding and Breton Pit Road railway line, Calder Ironworks, Coatbridge, showing location where Felix Hanratty, assistant fireman or brakeman, was killed by waggons when the driver of a 'pug' or private locomotive tried to execute a 'flying shunt'. Haulage engine house and No 1 Bank Pit winding engine house noted. Removed from compensation (payment). Process includes General Rules & Regulations book of the North British Railway Company: Thomas Hanratty, furnace keeper, Calder Ironworks, Coatbridge v William Dixon Ltd, coal and ironmasters, Glasgow. |
