'Section shewing the position of the coals in the Sheriffhall Engine Pit the property of His Grace the Duke of Buccleugh. Also the relative situation of the Engine Pits upon the Estate of Edmonstone the property of John Wauchope Esquire in regard to the surface altitude and relative position of coals in the said pits. And of the surface and coals in in the Pits nos 15, 18 & 19 on His Grace's property.' By Robert Bald, surveyor, Edinburgh. Scale 10 inches = 300 feet. 714 x 530 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Edgebound in green silk. Section showing coal in pits. Note: 'Edinburgh 2nd September 1816. This is the Section refer'd to in my Report of this date. (signed) Robt. Bald.' |
