Scale [1:5400] 1 inch = 6 Scots chains. 386 x 555 mm. Ink and colour wash with graphite annotation.
Plan colourd to show the Duke of Hamilton's coal. Freestone quarry noted. Names of adjacent lands: Summerhouse, Gardrum and Callendar coalfields, Bellsrigg or Reddingrigg.
Note : This if the plan No 3 referred to in contract of excambion, executed by us, dated 18th and 23rd December 1854. Signed Hamilton and Brandon, for Carron Company Wm Dawson manager.' |
