'Plan of Parkhall Estate under which the minerals belong to John Livingston Esqr showing the lots in which mineral are to be exposed for sale, By John Geddes, mining engineer. Leith & Smith, lithographers, Edinburgh. No scale. 365 x 530 mm on sheet 450 x 544 mm. Coloured. Lithograph. Dissected into 8 sheets. Linen backing. Estate plan coloured to show lots in which minerals are to be sold. Field boundaries. Table of contents giving acreages of lots. Note 1: 'This plan is made by conjoining the existing plans of Parkhall lands; a lithographed plan of Laurence Park or Nicolton; and an engraved plan of Mr livingston's property in the baronies of Haining and Manuel Foulis.' Note 2: 'Edinburgh, 10th March 1837. This is the plan of Parkhall coalfield referred to in my report of this date and valuation of the same. (Signed) John Geddes, mining engineer.' |
