Farm plan coloured to show farm boundaries and disputed pasture. Field boundaries. Bractullo farm steading, cairns and quarries noted. Names of adjacent lands.
Note (1): 'The ground within the pink lines is Mr Maxwell's farm of Bractullo as shown in the estate plan book. That within the green lines the pasture claimed by Mr Maxwell. Within yellow lines the rough pasture in that .& within the blue lines the Labothie Hill wood.' Note (2): 'I david Maxwell tenant of the farm of Bractullo do hereby agree that the line marked A B C D E F shall be held as the northern march of my farm and I acknowledge that I have no right to pasture, or otherwise make use in any way whatever, of any of the land to the north of the said line. In witness whereof this docquet written by Peter Bruce, clerk to Messieurs Lindsay Howe and Company...is subscribed by me at Forfar on the seventh day of May eithteenhundred and sixty seven before these witnesses...' |
