'Sketch of places referred to in precognition against Donald McKinlay 1833; Sketch of village of Tomnagrew.' By James Chalmers [1:2700] 1 inch = 3 Scots chains & 5/8 inch = 1 Scots chain. 1067 x 505 mm on sheet 1114 x 548 mm. Inset plan 311 x 256 mm. Ink and colour wash. Relief in grey wash. Compass rose. Two sheets joined together. Locus of crime plan from the trial of Donald McKinlay for wilful fire-raising, showing the possible routes taken between Auldmad, Findowie, Croy, Water of Brann, Wester Tomnagrew and Easter Tomnagrew. Plan showing settlements, roads, fields, parks and plantations. Noted are the road to Tombane, turnpike road from Milltoun to Dunkeld, the road to Perth by Glenshee, Bridge of Auldmad, Wester and Easter Ballachraggan, mill, smithy, well, buildings and woodland.
