Description |
'Plan of the estate of West Barns belonging to different proprietors. Surveyed by Messrs Ainslie & Forrest in 1804 & 1806.' By [John] Ainslie and [William] Forrest. 9 inches = 27 Scots chains or 8 3/4 inches = 30 English chains. 1040 x 958 mm on sheet 1100 x 1000 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Estate plan coloured to show fields, village of West Barns, roads and rivers. Distillery, brewery, Dunbar mills, cotton mill, inn, waulk mill, mess house and pigeon cots noted. Farms of Linkfield and Beltonford. Names of adjacent lands and owners. Table of contents giving field names and acreages of houses, arable and pasture. Compass rose. |
