Description |
'Plan of Tillicoultry mineral field belonging to Robert Wardlaw Ramsay Esquire.' By [Robert Bald]. 6 1/8 th inches = 25 Scots chains; 5 inches = 500 yards. 930 x 640 mm on sheet 960 x 660 mm. Hand coloured. Lithograph. Edge bound. Linen backing. Estate plan coloured to show boundaries of mineral fields belonging to Wardlaw Ramsay, and Globe Insurance, together with field boundaries, roads and rivers. Fields named. Tillicoultry house, pleasure ground, lodge, village, church and glebe, Coalsnaughton village,, and steadings noted. Names of adjacent lands and owners. Reference. Note: 'This is the plan (in quadruplicate) referred to in the lease of the seams of coal, ironstone and fireclay in the estate of Tillicoultry...[by] Robert Bald Wardlaw Ramsay... [to] Robert Bald, mining engineer, Esquire, Edinburgh...signed... 11th April 1840 R B Wardlaw Ramsay, 20th April Rob't Bald.' |
