6 1/2 inches = 13 Imperial chains; 7 1/4 inches = 13 Scots chains. 660 x 480 mm. Coloured. Linen backing.
Plan coloured to show Shire Mill lands between the lands of the Duke of Buccleuch, Sir John Hope, bt, and Thomas McMillan, Esq. Mill dam and ruins of mill and buildings noted. Names of adjacent owners. Table of contents giving acreages of arable, mill dam and roads. Compass rose. Note: 'The above is according to the march delineated upon the original plan of the division of the Haugh of Inveresk. James Hay, surveyor, Musselburgh, 23 Sept 1828.' |
