'A plan of the estate of Ninewar.' By John Ainslie, land surveyor, Edinburgh.
9 inches = 36 Scots chains of 74 feet; 9 inches = 40 English chains of 66 feet each. 867 x 1520 mm on sheet 965 x 1590 mm. Coloured. Linen backing.
Estate plan coloured to show farms, fields and parks. Field names etc and acreages given. Ninewar House and parks. Farms of Howmuir, Tynefield, Links, Hedderwick (Heatherwick), and Mains. Proposed new house, plantation and intended basin at Meadowpark. Brewery and mills [at West Barns]. Steadings noted. Table of contents naming farms and their tenants, with acreages of arable, pasture, bog and plantations. Compass rose. Notes on transactions referring to plan, 1804-5. |
